Workflow and knowledge-capture platform posts 1,387% three-year revenue growth, landing in the top 5% of this year's list
SAN FRANCISCO (August 20, 2026) – Tango, the platform that helps teams capture, document, and share how work actually gets done, today announced it has been named to the 2026 Inc. 5000 list, the annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. Tango ranked No. 246, posting three-year revenue growth of 1,387%, placing it in the top 5% of this year's honorees. The list is the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s most successful independent and entrepreneurial businesses, recognizing companies that have achieved remarkable growth while driving innovation, creating jobs, and shaping the economy’s future. Past honorees include companies such as Microsoft, Meta, Chobani, Oracle, and Patagonia.
“Growth like that comes from two places,” said Ken Babcock, co-founder and CEO of Tango. “It’s the people behind Tango, who’ve spent the last few years building something that actually makes jobs easier. And it’s the people we build for — the ones on every team who get asked the same question five times a week, who train the new hire without being asked to, who somehow become their team’s help desk. Every time someone sends a Tango instead of explaining something for the hundredth time is why we’re here.”
Founded in 2020 by Ken Babcock, Dan Giovacchini, and Brian Shultz, Tango started as a browser extension that automatically captures any process and turns it into a step-by-step guide, complete with screenshots and annotations. Over the past five years, the company has grown that idea into a broader platform for documenting procedures, training new hires, and answering the questions that come up again and again on every team — now spanning a desktop app, reusable knowledge “Nuggets,” AI agents, and MCP integrations that put institutional knowledge to work for both humans and AI systems. Today, more than 900,000 people use Tango across organizations including Netflix, IBM, Salesforce, and Nike, and the company is backed by investors including Tiger Global, Slack Fund, Atlassian Ventures, and General Catalyst.
This year’s Inc. 5000 recognizes a new class of companies redefining what growth looks like. From AI and advanced manufacturing to healthcare, consumer products, and professional services, these businesses are expanding their impact, creating jobs and proving that entrepreneurial ambition continues to fuel the U.S. economy. Among the 5,000 companies on the list, the median three-year revenue growth rate was 130%, and collectively, these companies have added more than 627,208 jobs to the U.S. economy over the past three years.

We congratulate all honorees on this significant achievement.”
